GULSHAN, Indian, Southend
Their midweek menu makes this place a total bargain. At around £13 per person, you get a starter, main, rice or naan AND a side! I can never finish it all and they always offer to box it up for me to take home. The owner is great, super friendly and can never do enough for us. They always tailor our dishes to us depending on how hot or mild we want them. The chicken chilli masala or the chicken tikka pathia are definitely to be tried if you like a bit of spice.
MAHARAJA indian, Benfleet
Warm and friendly welcome, beautifully decorated! Really nice staff, always making sure we’re catered for and happy with the service. the menu has so many options and it’s all really reasonably priced! really good value of money and the food is amazing definitely recommend. Ordered a takeaway, food was hot and cooked to perfection. Delivery driver was polite and even had a bit of banter! Difficult to pick one dish as a favourite but these guys really know how to cook, the Lamb Jalfrezi melt in the mouth.
TANDOORI PARLOUR, Indian, Thundersley
A very nice atmosphere with the staff being polite and friendly. I actually do not eat Indian food so I had an English meal. I chose prawn cocktail and scampi and chips with salad. This turned out to be a delicious meal. The dish of prawn cocktail was absolutely brimming with prawns and the scampi was good and piping hot. I could not get through the pile of chips. My husband and all the others had the Indian which consisted of various dips and poppadums on the table then a starter and then a main course from the buffet. Everyone said it was excellent and we enjoyed the whole evening.
RAYLEIGH SPICY - Indian
Quite a small hidden away restaurant, I didn’t know what to expect when I went here for the first time, so I was pleasantly surprised when not only did they cater for my current vegan diet, but the food was amazing! The vegetable jalfrezi that I had was specially made to my spice requirements (hot), was really tasty AND I struggled to finish it all. The staff were so friendly and my friend and I had a great evening there. I will definitely be going back, so glad I found this gem - NOVEMBER 2017
MANGO LOUNGE - Indian, Rayleigh
The food is very good, the staff very pleasant and the restaurant is very clean. Recommend but please book ahead as it gets very busy. Very busy bubbly atmosphere. Food excellent I had the tandori mixed grill which was excellent , saga loo another favourite of mine which is easy to muck up was delicious ! will be back soon.
On another day we ordered a take away, and ordered, 1 x Lamb Danzak, 1 x Chicken Bhuna, 1 x Mushroom Pilau believing it would be average. Surprise, surprise it was the best Indian meal had in a long time and we would highly recommend the food from this restaurant. Will visit again soon.
INDIAN DINER Indian, Eastwood, Leigh on Sea
Went there last night. Service was fantastic and prompt, the decor was clean and modern; most importantly the dishes were amazing!! We tried a few: Jalfreza, Pathia (strong recommend!), sag aloo, veg Bhaji and pilau rice.
The garlic naan was beautiful. Will definitely return!
