REVIEWS - ITALIAN RESTAURANTS

PADRINO, Italian, Westcliff
Even with the lockdown, this very popular friendly restaurant gave us great service and great food. Tables were spaced out as the law demands but the place was still busy. One of my favourite restaurants to visit and will definately go back again. Great stuff Stef.

FELLIN'S IALIAN - Leigh on Sea
There were 10 of us booked for lunch. No problem with getting a table. Friendly waiter service with a smile.
Food was served which included, steak, pork, mussels, many other mains. Starter, mains and dessert all very
good. Also served very good wines. Highly reccommended.

BELLA ITALIA - Southend on Sea
I love the food and the staff are always polite, always impressed by not only the excellent quality of food but also the level of service. We had calamari and garlic prawns to die for.... Pollo Milonese and Gamberoni... followed by tiramisu and gelato. There are lovely cocktails and low cal options. Vegan, gluten free and veggie options too.

PADRINO, Italian, Westcliff
Booked here (and I would because it was very busy) for an early evening meal before going to a show at Cliffs Pavilion .I thoroughly enjoyed the mussels to start and delicious slow cooked pork belly with perfect crackling for the main. Very attentive staff helped us choose from a large menu and made the evening feel like being part of a great big family. We will be back.

EATALIA ,Italian - Thorpe Bay
Food was very good, spicy sausage pasta, prawn pasta and cannelloni all cooked perfectly and the garlic bread perfect, seasoning was also well balanced in fact the food tasted home made. In the evening they serve authentic Italian cuisine and in the morning serve very good coffee and breakfast. A family run business serving good quality food in a very friendly atmosphere.

LA PIAZZETTA, Italian, Chalkwell
Went to this new restaurant for the first time tonight.Lovely place. The food is great.Really tasty and the prices are very reasonable.Service is perfect, attentive but not too over the top.Nice a see a decent restaurant open here after a few failures.Lets hope it does well and stay there.A new favourite Italian for me!

TARANTINO, Leigh-on-Sea.
The restaurant has been renovated beautifully and has a really good atmosphere. The service we received was excellent throughout the meal. As for the food we really enjoyed everything we ordered. I had mussels to start which were excellent quality and cooked to perfection. My Veal Milanese was very good, an excellent portion well cooked.
I will be back for more. Only I can say it was a perfect evening. Thanks & good luck.

TARANTINO, Brentwood
Tarantino's is a quaint authentic Italian restaurant you would be happy to find in bustling London but is tucked away down a pretty street in Brentwood. The food is exquisite and plentiful whatever course you choose from starter to desert. A selection of pasta. fish and pizza included. The prices are good and do not reflect the quality. The food is served hot.The fries are the best in town.
The staff are wonderful and gave us a free Limonchella drink on our completion of the meal. The atmosphere is relaxed and patrons clearly enjoying the experience.

TARANTINO, Hornchurch
Our first visit here, made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived, waiters helpful and friendly. Starters Bruchetta Calamari Scallops all good, mains Seafood Linguine, Steak chips all very nice. Good atmosphere place was packed.

PASTA PIA, Southend
An interesting place! Lovely well priced authentic Italian street food. We had a pasta dish and a lasagna, both were excellent. Dessert was good value as were the main meals. This is a fast food place that also does take aways, the quality of food is of a very high standard Try the garlic bread, it’s amazing

IL PALAZZO Westcliff
The service we received when we arrived was great, we were given the menus and asked if we wanted to order any drinks which we ordered. The food was cooked to a high standard. My husband ordered the breaded Portobello mushroom and the Cod from the set menu and it was amazing, I also had the mushroom but ordered the Pork with Apple sauce is was delicious. The staff made us feel very welcome even when they were busy they came over to make sure we were happy with the food and if there was anything else we wanted. I would personally recommend this restaurant to anybody, can't wait to go again. .

GAMBERO D'ORO - Italian
Went here for dinner before meeting friends in the pub next door. For starters we had a dish each and shared a garlic bread. We honestly could have just shared the garlic bread to start, the portions were huge! The food was fresh and really tasty, as well as being reasonably priced. The inside is quite small, so be sure to book. It’s nice to have a local independent Italian restaurant on your doorstep. - FEBRUARY 2017
