REVIEWS - TURKISH RESTAURANTS

BOGAZ – Turkish, Rayleigh
This was my second visit to this lovely restaurant. The service is very good
as well as the presentation and the food did not lack in quantity. Food prices not over the top but not cheap, however the drinks are quite expensiv..

BOGAZ – Turkish, Rayleigh
Visited this lovely Turkish restaurant for a birthday lunch with my wife and daughter. It was my first visit to
taste Turkish food and I was not dissapointed. I now prefer this food to Indian or Chinese.
The serrvice was very good
as well as the presentation and did not lack in quantity.
Very reasonably prices and look forward to my next visit.

LOKANTA TURKISH - Rochford
We have been here several times and always enjoy the food here. Service is always good. Staff are very friendly. Great atmosphere. We tried the weekday specials. Good choice and reasonably priced depending on how many courses you had. The food was lovely, tasty and served well. The restaurant has been thoughtfully, tastefully designed and offering an outside seating area too.

BARRU TURKISH, Westcliff
Nice surroundings and friendly service.
We shared a a starter of gorgeous things including falafel, hummus, calamari, sausage, and lots more….then went on to share a feast and what a feast it was! Rice and bulgerwheat bedding a multitude of perfectly cooked meats with a beautiful salad on the side. So much food that we had to split the remainder into two doggie bags! What a gem this place is! Definitely be back to try other things off of the menu!

THE TERRACE, Southend
Exceptional Turkish food with a wide menu and generous portions! All their food is full of flavour and comes in large portions. Love the dishes that include aubergines. They can really cook vegetables. Freebie bread, yogurt and hummus to get you going. Also beautiful decor in a spacious place with a relaxed atmosphere and lovely staff. Well worth going a few steps further away from the high street for.

My favourite Turkish restaurant to eat at. The portion sizes are always very generous and the unlimited supply of bread is always a treat. The last couple of times I’ve been during the week it has been really busy, so I would recommend booking a table! Prices are really reasonable, service is somewhat average, but the tasty food definitely makes up for it! JULY 2017

BABOUSH – Turkish, Chalkwell
The decor was somewhat garish, although I did quite like it. The food was nice, but quite pricey when you’re paying around £20 for a kebab. The cocktails were good, but again, £10 for a cocktail feels like quite a steep price tag. The service wasn’t the best, we waited an hour after having finished our mains and still hadn’t been offered a dessert menu or had our tables cleared. There’s other Turkish restaurants in the area that do much nicer food for a fraction of the price. TURK GRILL HOUSE, Rayleigh
Thought it was one of the best meals out in a while. Everything was really tasty, the bread, cold / hot Meze and the kebabs cooked to perfection. The chicken was tender and not dry, lamb melted in mouth. I normally always get the same from Turkish restaurants, a chicken and lamb shish combination so it’s easy to compare with others, this was up there with the best.
The other thing everyone appreciated was the fact the tables are nicely spaced out. The service was excellent, food arrived in perfect time and staff were available when needed but not over tentative. Thanks for the lovely meal
